A quality label…

« Tourisme et Handicap » is a quality label offering disabled persons reliable information about the accessibility of sites and tourist equipments for four types of impairment (physical, visual, hearing and intellectual). In promoting an adapted tourist offer, it allows the emergence of products and services really accessible to anyone as well as allowing a maximum of autonomy.  

The Daviaud Ecomuseum asked for this quality label from the beginning of this project in Vendée in 2004. Our commitment is to ensure a quality reception of our disabled visitors.

The association « Tourisme et Handicap » gives this quality label with a charter and a contract certifying the commitment of the ecomuseum to guarantee the reception and the permanent accessibility of the site for disabled.

So far the Daviaud has received the label for physical impairment. It has to be renewed every five years, after the reception and accessibility criteria have been checked.

Accessing leisure facilities is for disabled people a way of gaining social integration and personal fulfilment.

In guaranteeing an adapted reception, the Daviaud hopes to will give an answer to disabled persons who want to choose their holidays, learn more, have fun, go on their own or with their family, where they wish, as and with everybody.

Most of the site is accessible for persons in wheelchair. Wheelchairs are available at the reception desk.
