Retrospective of Pierre Bertrand's work, painter of the navy

The Vendée had to honour the memory of the painter Pierre-Bertrand (1884-1975). Indeed, he spent a lot of time in recreating the light of this French département and its coast, its marshlands and even its bocage.

Thanks to his love for the sea, he was promoted official painter and then worked for the navy. In his many travels, he even went deep to the ocean, becoming the first painter of the silent world.
